1-2-1 Consultations

Paulus provides insight, advice and support, slanted towards honing the artistic content of an act/routine.

Sessions take place in South London in a safe, calm space in which to help focus your mind on furthering your career. 1-2-1 consultations are tailor-made to suit the needs of the individual with a sliding scale of prices depending on how many sessions you book (see chart below).

Paulus has been in the variety business as a performer, producer, promoter and agent for 30 years and still performs as a host & singer as well as sharing his knowledge with others.

Paulus has been instrumental in campaigning for cabaret sections in Time Out,, and Edinburgh Festival; runs workshops and lectures on the art of cabaret; has written articles on the genre and created the London Cabaret Awards.

Paulus has the ability, rare in coaches yet most necessary in my opinion, to see the individual, not the “student”. He listens, is very astute and doesn’t pull any punches. Emily Davis, Cabaret Singer

A big YES. Invaluable advice and support.  Jo Marsh AKA Jo-Jo Bellini, Cabaret Singer

I recommend Paulus wholeheartedly. I have learnt so much from him over the last year and I am sure there is still much more to learn. Sarah Tullamore, Cabaret Singer

How to Cabaret – for Singers

Break down the fourth wall between you and your audience and learn the art of sustaining ‘The Golden Thread’ connecting you both.

With 20+ years’ teaching and three decades performing in cabaret, Paulus is in high demand internationally as a mentor and facilitator for singers of all ages, abilities and genres wishing to learn what the tenets of cabaret can teach them to help develop and hone their craft and on-stage persona.

Through games, exercises and visualisations these intense and sometimes emotional three days promise to create a close-knit bond between yourself and fellow participants as you invest the time to fill your creative well and expand your skills as an artiste.

‘How to Cabaret – for Singers’ is a 3-day course and available as Levels 1-3.

New course dates to be confirmed.

If you are unsure as to which course you are eligible for taking part in then please drop Paulus a message, but essentially if this is the first time you’ve worked with me then it’s Level 1, if you did Level 1 last year then it’s Level 2 this year and so on and so forth.

If you have done the 8-day Singers’ Cabaret Workshop then choose Level 3, and if you are an MTA Cabaret Week student choose Level 2.

Please note that attendance at all 3 days of the course is expected of participants.

Each 3-day course costs £235 and a space can be secured for a non-refundable deposit of £75 once you have successfully completed your application.
